really? no response to the most serious declaration i've made on here in.... several whiles....?
oh well. maybe no one was surprised.
remember when liza and i rocked out with arcade fire!?!? me neither. i did start crying when npr played a neighborhood clip the other day. also cried during extras, the tick, yacht rock, douglas adams bio, any superchunk song... the idea
i'll probably tear up while taking a dump tomorrow morning.
yet somehow today i walked by and hung out on the other side of the fence from wendy's grave with out a big reaction. then again i was distracted by the sign telling me i'd be fined 5000 dollars if i crawled under the fence to sit next to it like i've always done before. .........meant to bring that up with ash earlier but was too busy being happy to think of it.
seriously...there were nights i'm not sure i'd have made it through without trespassing in that place. aw fuck. that's a little dramatic. i'd have made it. ....but still...
also as i was walking away to deliver a letter to the neighbors about the wedding i thought - nice. having the wedding at my grandma's is the closest i could come to having wendy at the ceremony. and i thought i was all cute for thinking that. fuck. that's not very me...i mean it's a corpse...weird. seven years?

i'm either or both a bad story listener/story teller. i always(almost surely) convey the interesting bit right at the front and become either annoyed or impatient when i'm listening and don't receive the same. this primarily applies to stories that involve me or folk i know. i can listen to This American Life all day and love it but when a friend informs me that they've got something interesting to say about someone or something that might relate to me in real life i have no time to waste. if so and so saw a dead person i want you to start at the end of the story with the important parts - there will be time for the drama and build up later.
